When it rain… it pours

Just a note, the above quote got nothing to do with my post for today, it just caught my attention on the way to work and thought it’s nice. OK. Moving on!
July, me thinks, is not a very good month for the country (and me!), why is that? Well, let’s see…
- From web designer I suddenly became a… (drum rolls please, this is an extremely special moment) *&$#)*& Gen Staff! (I thought, if you think I don’t have the talent why hire me in the first place?! And then, if I don’t like the position, why did I signed up on the change? And then I remembered… I’m stupid lol) Won’t linger on that, next!
- Just after the first storm arrived, another one took its place and made 2 days of school a “
holiday
” which is good for my other siblings but not for me because I envy them… I want my work to be cancelled as well! Just a wishful thinking. Plus, I gather that flood is still a problem in areas such as Navotas and San Juan, especially Malabon of course! - Mayon Volcano is spewing ashes and I know it’s just a matter of days before it erupts. A lot of people will be homeless again and rice will be harder to produce thus higher price for it. I’m thinking if it will happen again though, if you don’t know yet (or forgot about it already) when the Mayon Volcano erupted a few years back, its smoke/ashes were able to “travel” the world. Or was that Pinatubo Volcano which caused that phenomena? But I’m leaning towards Mayon Volcano.
- What else…? Oh, of course, July 24th is President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s State of the Nation Address which is just full of broken/will be broken promises if you ask me. I guess that’s it!
But eventhough that’s the case, July still brought some happy moments to me:
- I launched Last Leaf! yay!
- July is the birthmonth of my aunt, a friend and my youngest sister.
- I get to meet new people during this month since my schedule was changed twice.
- July 10 is my parents’ wedding anniversary and that is one of the most special day in my entire life because my parents were united!
Belated Happy Birthday Sis!
Yep, yesterday, my spoiled sister just turned 9 years old! So now I already have a 9 year-old spoiled sister who wants more make up on herself than I do on mine. Kids grow up so fast these days. Wait, is that me talking?! I sound like my mother (or any old person)! Aaaaakkkk…
But, eventhough she’s a spoiled little brat, she still have her good traits, well, for one, she’s sweet if she wants to be. She’s funny especially whenever she doesn’t want to make us laugh — I think that is one of the traits she got from our father, such a clown lol.
Anyway, happy birthday! Do hope and pray, oh do I PRAY that someday your attitude would change, somehow… for the better! Love you still, though! Of course ’cause you’re my sister! ^.^
