The aftermath
Yeah, that’s me… I wasn’t as pretty as I would’ve hoped but I guess I’m pretty presentable during the party. I didn’t have much fun in it, probably because I’m not merely a guest but I am one of the participants in the celebration as well. Being a host takes a lot of effort and I have never appreciated them more than after I did this party! I mean, being a host doesn’t mean that you’ll just stand in front of a crowd you hardly even know and talk the night away. It also meant that you’ll organize the whole event(?)! I didn’t asked for this, you know…
Anyway, I wasn’t as nervous as I’ve originally thought, I was a nervous wreck before the party though. I guess the people being late, the debutante’s pictorial and make up thingy taking longer than expected helped a lot to calm my nerves. But it also made me a little irritated, I mean the guests were so insensitive and late (definitely one of my pet peeves, I hate late people)!
The invitation clearly states that the party will start at 6:00 pm but they started to arrive at 30 minutes past 6! Some even arrived at 7 in the evening! The escort was late as well! I mean what kind of attitude was that?! The debutante… now don’t get me started at that…
When it was my party I was the one waiting for people to be ready for me… When it was already time to start the whole thing, Kuya Ateng, our family’s “make up artist”, was just doing some retouches… Oh well… it was her party so who am I to complain, right?
The food… now that’s a different story! I loved the food! hahaha Especially the lumpiang sariwa (Fresh Lumpia), it’s my all-time favorite and I’m glad that it was perfectly done this time! If only I wasn’t hosting the thing, I would’ve gone back to the buffet table for the second serving of the dish hehe… But when we’re done with the program I’m already too tired to eat because all I was thinking then was to go home to rest my feet which is aching already from wearing high heels and standing for a long time without pause.
My sister wants her debut at the Disneyland!
Yesterday, while we’re resting at the living room, Ariane, my youngest sister and the last one in our family who will be having her debut started planning her own party. We asked her what and where she wanted her party to be held and we regret that right away because she answered: Hong Kong Disneyland.
Her reason is that she knows we’re all working by that time and we will have enough money to spend for her(???). We agreed, but with one condition, that she and our brother Johnry would never fight, not even once until her 18th birthday, the deal was over in less than an hour hahaha!
More pictures:

Lanie, Melvin and John… This is supposed to be just a picture and the guys, but Lanie saw them and insisted on having her picture taken with them.

This was taken after the dinner, Arianne, Anne, Aries, Lanie and I.

The guys… they all look so cute noh?! Melvin, Johnry, John, Jomarc and Stephen is the youngest.
