Election time already?

The faces of the corrupt politicians are now hanging in almost every side of the Metro as if their life depends on it, or perhaps they might die if not one commuter will not be able to see the “good things” they did for the people. I don’t really mind it much, you know, they just want to be known by the people, what gets to me though is the thing with Actors turning into Politicians! What in heavens name is up with them?! I know, I know they will be able to learn being a public servant (probably after 2 to 3 decades of trial and error using the people’s taxes) but hey now! Why can’t they just take a backseat and let the real politicians do the work?! They want to help the people? Well, there are lost of ways to help the people.

  • Stop pretending they have enough knowledge to govern an entire country just because a lot of people know them.
  • Endorse the right candidate and not the person who gave them the biggest TF because by doing so, they will be able to help the people make the best decision. And not be in the position wherein they would want to oust whoever they voted for after a year or so.
  • Now that I think about it, never get involved in politics.
  • Stop thinking that the politicians who want to use their name in the upcoming election speaks for all the Filipinos, I don’t want you to run! And don’t tell me that “you can’t please everybody” crap because that’s just a plain BS.

And WTF does a boxer know about running a city?! And what’s next?! His coach will be his secretary? Great. Now I’m looking forward to the electoral line-up ten years from now. I assume all we’ll ever need is a director and we can make a sick *&!%#* film at Malacanang. Really, looking forward to it.

i disagree, shari. how else will we prevent idiot upstarts from ruining a pretty damn good democratic system if we don’t involve ourselves?

Jester, actually, what we’re saying there is that actors and actresses or celebrities should not get involved with politics meaning they shouldn’t try to run for office. Just because the administration or whatever party wants to use their name just because they’re winnable it doesn’t necessarily mean that they could actually do a great job as a public servant. Besides they could do a lot of other stuff to help the people, not just by running for public office.
