Goodbye to Phil. Blog Awards

I was so excited when the Phil. Blog Awards nominations was opened. In my excitement, I nominated my blog right away in the Personal Category. And now, Gail announced that the list of nominees are out, and I am so disheartened when I saw it!

77 entries just for the personal category only!

How will I be able to snag the prize now?! *sigh* I wonder if the entries are duplicated in one way or another with people trying to nominate their own blog and people nominating their favorite reads. Hmm, hmm…

Then I remembered, the Best Designed Blog Award, perhaps there will only be a small number of blogs nominated there, but argh! The great Bryan Veloso will be one of the judges, this blog will not pass that kind of standard! Aaaww… why do they have to get big people for this event? The great Matt will even sponsor the event!

Why can’t this be just a small award giving body? Why, oh why?!

    Okay lang yan, 77? Binilang mo talaga ha? Haha! Sisiw lang sayo yan, lol! Pwede pa lang i-nominate sariling blog? Hmmm. But anyway, I’ve never joined anything even close to that, kaya okay lang. Magvo-volunteer na lang ako. Volunteer tayo? :D

    Truth is, I’ve never taken interest in this sort of things until the Blog Parteeh, ;)

    Ah, but I didn’t even know I was nominated in the Personal category until a few hours ago… when I was looking at my blog stats/incoming links.

    I’m wondering who nominated me. And I know I’ll never win, but I’m flattered that someone out there (who is neither friend or family as far as I know) submitted my blog.

    Anyway, good luck with your nomination in the 2007 Philippine Blog Awards. :D
    Well, think of this way… you have 1 in 77 chances of winning. That’s way higher than winning a lottery. LOL. :)
