The Stress that PBA Brought
I’ve been stressing over this being a finalist in Philippine Blog Awards for some time now, I just can’t take it anymore. There’s a certain stress level that I can take before getting so depressed over stuff.
If you’re thinking what the hell were the judges thinking why did I became a finalist when I don’t have an awareness to raise (FightPompe), I have been blogging for only 4 years which I do not have any proof because I erase my trace every time I move (Bikoy), I am not witty nor am I one of the best writers there is (Zafra), nor am I controversial or have a big readership nor am I politically-aware (Misteryosa). I want to tell all of you that I want to know the answer to that as well. No, I did not bribed them, I wished I did though so I don’t have to be “balat sibuyas” over these undeserving crap.
If someone could check the tally sheet again, please do so because I know and I am aware that I don’t have that x-factor the judges and the people are looking for. I don’t deserve to be a part of the list? I know, and I second you on that!
This is not a pity post nor am I creating any drama over this nor am I trying to be humble, I’m just telling you what I feel since I am so fed up in reading how undeserving I am, whether directly or implied. At least this comes from me which is easier to swallow anyway.
I know, this site is full of crappy and stupid posts which is important to me, which enables me to take out the stress, sadness, loneliness, anger or whatever negative feeling I have. I am with you in saying that there must be some mistake here (at least in the personal blogging category). Right now, I just wish I was never involved in this. :(
If you want to get success in the field of IT industry, you must be certified of those certifications that assist you in achieving your goal like ccnp actual test exam. You can find actual test for your comptia a+ certification exam. ccna certification training also seems like as an actual test for your IT certification.
Ei Mae. Don’t be too hard on yourself. It shouldn’t be this bad. I guess some people are just really insensitive and can get *very* competitive. They’re forgetting the real essence of the blog awards, and that is to recognize the best bloggers out there, NOT to turn the bloggers against each another. Speaking out negative comments (that can be read by many people) about the other finalists just show how immature they are. I really don’t know why do that, it’s so annoying. Mga feeling-feelingan na judges. Hindi na lang manahimik. lol!
You’re part of the 5 finalists because the judges thought you deserve that spot. And you DO deserve that spot. Inggit lng ung mga un dahil di sila nasama sa top 5, hahaha! joke.
Basta, like I told you sa chat, dedma na lang! mag-eenjoy tayo sa Awards Night. Wag natin isipin na competition ‘to. Let’s just have fun. :)
See u saturday ha! Cheer up! Don’t let some (ugly) people bring you down. LOL. For what it’s worth, you have *my* support. And I think you should win! Hehehe.
can you imagine that? among the 200 plus nominees , your blog was picked? That’s an honor. Don’t stress. Let it go and enjoy the awards night.
Hi. We sent you the e-Ticket for the Philippine Blog Awards 2007. Please show this at the registration table. You will then be given two entrance tickets: one for you and another for your guest. If you have not received your e-Ticket or have any questions please email philippineblogawards [at] gmail [dot] com. Best of luck to you and your blog. See you there!
Remember my post? :)
Mae, you do not have to have raise awareness (Juan Magdaraog), be a long-time blogger (Victor Villanueva), be witty (Jessica Zafra), and WTF (guess who) to win something. As I said, a personal blog is a personal blog is a personal blog. Your transparency in your blog entries goes beyond anything “great” you might think of. Kaya nga personal blogging diba?
Maki-ride on ka na lang. Masyadong maikli ang buhay para problemahin kung ano iniisip nila. Teehee, I know, because I’ve read something about me too yay! Pero I didn’t take it at heart na lang, eh kasi opinyon niya yun. Hindi naman siya judge eh, manigas siya. LOL! Anong magagawa nga ba natin? Obviously, what’s a good blog for them is not necessarily a good blog for others — especially the judges.
Amen to that! Hehehe. Mag-enjoy na lang tayong mga table-mates bukas! ;)
Don’t stress out! Be happy and be honored!
Good luck tomorrow!
hello Mae…
people can be really cruel at times. at may mga tao talaga na hindi kayang maging masaya para sa iba kaya they just say negatives things to you. hayaan mo sila. i personally believe that you deserve to be one of the finalist…
sometimes, its not about the years of experience or whatever man.. it’s about the transparency that your journals have. the things that you shared to other people and the things that they learned from your blogs are incomparable sa kung kanino pa man blog dyan.. hehe :)
goodluck and i’m happy for you.
Hi… thanks guys ha :)
This is exactly what makes your site a “PERSONAL” site and makes you qualified in that category. They’re right, don’t let the negative criticisms bog you down.
PS. It was really nice seeing you in person. :D
Thanks yoru… it was nice to meet you as well :)
Mae,
Some people throw stones at mango trees
when the fruits are plenty and ripe.
When you say, ‘This site is full of … posts
which (are) important to me ..’ precisely!
you are simply stating the very purpose of
blogging: you blog about what is important to you.
You can’t please everybody.
Some people have dirty mouths and don’t know
enough manners to mind their bad breath.
About the negative comments,
I delete from the Net or from memory.
I take it easy and blog. If you haven’t, you might want to know what
I have so far written about the Blog Awards: 1st Philippine Blog Awards
and about the art & heart of blogging:
The BlogFather.
Take heart! You and I love blogging. Well,
Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all!
