Congratulations to all the winners!
The Philippine Blog Awards was a successful event, nevermind that some finalists did not showed up, could it be because of the attire, perhaps? For a first awards night, it turned out pretty well, the audience is one of the most unresponsive audience though. But anyway, it was fun meeting all those bloggers! Met Tew, LA, IA, Jedi, Cath and Fer (good thing Joni is an in-born stalker else, we will not be able to trace where these two people blog hehe) saw BryanBoy, and who else… oh I also saw Lori! She’s so pretty and dignified, I love her already. If only I could cook I would love her blog as well LOL. Saw many familiar faces there as well, Eli, Jenny, Marc, Rhiz (who arrived late) of SEO Philippines Forum as well as Mr. Raquedan, Jeff, and ChrisH, sorry for those not mentioned, gold fish memory here… :P
Anyway, the best thing happened to me last night. I finally met Connie and got to take a photo with her, how cool is that?! :D
Sorry, my arm has a limited length lol and I was estatic that she said she loves my design. This design! :D
Have I told you the real reason why I picked last leaf aside from it being my favorite short story? I’ll tell you that it’s because of her. I have always stalked Connie’s Sassy Lawyer blog ever since I came across it (I am a lawyer wannabe. Always loved her point of views and the way she construct her entries. One of her domains is House on a Hill, I read a poem entitled just that during my Creative Writing class in College. I assumed that was the reason why she chose House on Hill hahaha so there, I thought of my favorite literary piece, which is… guess what? :P
This event just showed how geeky we can be, while Joni, LA, Shari, Tina, Darwin and I would talk about people using, not their names, but their blog names OR blog URLs! hahaha For one, when I asked Apples if Connie have arrived already, I asked her, is sassy lawyer here? LOL And IA is stellify etc. haha
Too bad Joni did not win the Blogger’s Choice Award though… It seems that my and Ganns (I missed you Ganns, wished you were there!) effort in campaigning for her did not work LOL I wasn’t at the after party though, first, I don’t drink second, my feet is killing me after a couple of hour walking on a high-heeled sandals (argh, hope next year we can come up with a more relaxing theme noh? haha) It turned out to be a good thing because when I arrived home my arms started to ache so much to the point that it stopped me from being able to sleep until a couple of minutes past 2. I was literrally crying from the pain to think that the only thing I carried with me are the styro logo. Sheesh, does that mean that I am SO out of shape? haha
