I have to admit that I am somewhat of a comment whore, I love receiving comments specially with my new blog (even though it’s not updated that frequently). But these days I usually get spam comments that whenever I see that “Comments in Moderation” I cringe because I know that they’re only spams. I wonder what’s happening with Akismet, I never had this problem with it before.

Anyway, this morning as always, I checked Tech Hive’s admin panel to see if there’s any kind of activity there as well as to try to finish one of the drafts there when I saw that there’s one comment that is waiting for moderation. And look what it said:

I thought these kinds of schemes are for emails only, but apparently, even comment boxes will do. So now, not only do I have to contend with comments about erection (which I don’t need), pr0n (which I wouldn’t look at) and pharmaceutical links, I must also ready myself to see more comments about bogus companies looking for people to collect “their money”, as if we’ll ever fall for that one.

I wonder if anyone ever took this seriously, what ever happened? This reminds me of emails I received before where a supposed lawyer is contacting you so he could give you the money from this uber rich dead man where you could keep some of the money but you must give the rest of the money back to them. Of course I didn’t took it seriously, first, if it’s too good to be true then it probably is and second, hello! He’s supposed to be very rich, and we know what happens every time someone very rich dies, right?

Right, their family kills one another for the inheritance. It’s impossible that no one will ever come forward for the money if he’s really dead or if he’s really rich or both.
