How NOT to Move Your Site to Another Server
Because I am extremely gifted (with stupidity) most of the times, I tend to overestimate myself that I will not be able to go overboard the usual minor stupidity. This is when fate would prove to me that it is indeed with such a twisted sense of humor.
You see, I wanted lastleaf to be upgraded because well, the size is simply not enough anymore so I contacted good ol’ Maja for an upgrade. She acknowledged my request and acted on it ASAP (I love you so much, Maja!) and what did I do? In my excitement, I changed the nameservers right away. Yes, without any backups! Thankfully though, I get day by day mysql backups so I need not worry about that. But I need my files.
So I reverted the nameservers to before, thankfully, we’re back online again. But then… I couldn’t access my cpanel or my webmail anymore and I haven’t made any backups on all of my mails since last month! 100+ mails will be gone from me if ever (please, please don’t make it come true). I was very, very afraid then. One would think that when I switched hosts for tech-hive merely a few days ago, I would already know what to do. But then again, stupidity ensues! Yay me!
I emailed Maja about it and she’s such a patient host, she actually moved my files and my emails for me. Really, I’m so blessed with the best host that’s why I don’t want to move anywhere else! I love you Maja, I would’ve gone mad and depressed again without you… :D
I guess the night for developers did fry my remaining brain cells so it was not functioning correctly last night. With that, my sleeping time is all messed up once more. I actually slept around 5 in the morning. Good thing I’m so lucky with almost everything (except with my brains of course).
I want chocolate.
Lol. Good thing you were able to recover them. As for me, my fancy emails are just redirected to my gmail. That way I can track all of them in one place and not lose a single e-mail.

hay ako nga hack all internal pages ko, at dinelete ang buong images folder both for ww and newmaria wahhh..ang daming nawala, sigh.
