The Hitman

Some time last year, I was able to catch this movie, it was a choice between Stardust and Hitman and because I’m a fan of crime and kinda gory movies even though I hate the sight of blood and anything gory, Hitman won hands-down. Yes, I’m a woman of many contradictions, in case you haven’t noticed yet.
I didn’t know that Hitman was a game so I don’t know if it followed the pattern of the game, oh well, whatever. My thoughts of the movie is halved between like and dislike, I guess because there were scenes there that I can’t help but compare to the Bourne series and sadly, it’s always lacking.
He’s not that bright and that strong and he lets a woman be his weakness which I find not amusing considering he’s supposed to be invulnerable to emotions. There are a lot of questions brought out by the film which was not answered (unless they’re planning to have a sequel) like what was the favor given by the organization to the CIA for them to interfere and deliberately help to let Agent 47 go (there was a scene where a text message arrived to the CIA dude that says now we’re even, unless I miss something… I don’t know what that is)?
Who was killed by Agent 47? Was that the real President Mikhail Belicoff or was he the clone? Who gave the hit on Agent 47? Is it the President? If so, then why?
It was still a good movie nonetheless, I love how sadist he was. I find it so cool that he was able to kill someone without anything on his face. That he thought of putting a bomb in someone else’s throat, it was graphic, but hell, it was so brilliant! I especially loved the way he tortured someone just so he would turn against Belicoff. I couldn’t find an image as of the moment, it would have been better, man… That was so great.
The guy woke up in a tub, he was taped there and on his neck was a radio. There were barbed wires around his body as well so no matter what he does he’ll not be able to escape, then a few steps away from the tub was a generator. Agent 47 was just a few steps away from him, he told the guy in the tub what he had to do — he had to tell the security that the new target will be the President within a set time frame or else he’ll be fried there.
As a consolation for being in that kind of situation, Agent 47 gave him the rubber ducky he found in the guy in the tub’s home. Funny guy, this Agent 47. LOL Oh, I almost forgot, the last scene was when he killed another assassin from the organization because apparently, a hit was placed on his ladylove’s life. He finished it with, “I told you to not go near her.
” Or something like that, it’s kinda romantic… To me that is. I know my sense of romanticism is distorted. Whatever.
Right now, I’m thinking if it’s a pre-requisite for assassins to be stoic and unapproachable and with a very good memory. It’s not fair, why can’t people create an assassin with a good disposition?
I think it’s creepier that way, how can anyone kill another person with a sneer in his face, huh? Or threaten someone else’s family by being close to them, it’s harder to tell your family to stay clear of him because he’s so nice to them. It somehow reminds me of The Jackal, but still make him more cheerful because Bruce Willis is still somehow moody there. Creepy, huh?
[…] car chase scenes gave me an awful headache and a lot of questions were left unanswered just like in Hitman, whatever it’s funny and breathtaking. I think I missed some things there because I was so […]
The part where Smith tells him We’re even….is because in every game you end up saving Smith’s life over and over.
oohh.. I should’ve read more about the game then hehe thanks Rod :)
