National Teasure, Book of Secrets
I was able to watch National Treasure, Book of Secrets last night with my best friend, yay! I thought I will not be able to watch this just like I failed to watch Elizabeth, The Golden Age. But alas, I liked the first movie so I want the sequel as well. All I can say is, why can’t producers create a sequel that is not crappy just like this? I mean, whenever we talk about sequels all I can hear are ka-ching, ka-ching from the producers who think that just because the first movie sold so well then the sequel will too. So they don’t care that there’s no storyline, the acting is horrible and the effects are not that great. (There are spoilers ahead)

I loved every minute I spent watching Book of Secrets even though the car chase scenes gave me an awful headache and a lot of questions were left unanswered just like in Hitman, whatever it’s funny and breathtaking.
I think I missed some things there because I was so busy thinking “Oooh they are so dead they broke that statue, I wonder if that costs a lot or just a replica (duh!)?
” so that I was not able to hear the line I was so looking forward to. That was when Riley said, “We broke into the Buckingham Palace and the Oval Office and kidnapped the President of the United States, what’s next? [insert something to do with the Pope’s office] of the Pope?
” Which Ben answered with “Well, you never know.
” I think it was cut, man I hate false advertising :(
I still don’t know what was in page 47, does anyone? I’m so curious! What could it be in it for Ben to say that it was life altering? Is it about his great great grandfather who was proved innocent because of the treasure?
It’s the first time that I went into the cinema and my mind was not so into the movie. I mean, when they (Ben et. al. except his parents) were trying to balance themselves on a platform to get to the Cibola, I thought Abigail is so brave. If it was me up there I wouldn’t have been able to stand even if they beg me or threaten me with my life, hey, my fear comes first!
While on their way, I thought who would have created such traps? Don’t tell me that while creating the heads at Mt. Rushmore they also did those traps so no one would be able to get their hands on the city of gold? I think my comprehension skills are deteriorating or I’m thinking too much. It should have been hidden for a hundred years or so but the mechanism to close the gates to stop the water from flowing turned rather easily, the same with the mechanism to open the gates so the water won’t fill up the city. How did they stopped the water? Were they able to create a dam that fast? Help, anyone?
Anyway, it was entertaining, Ben’s parents are hilarious! They haven’t seen each other for how many years and yet they greeted each other with who lost the toothbrush. LOL. Lousy tequila, indeed.
Loved that movie. I was practically huffing and puffing when it ended, lol. I love the way they mixed humor with everything else. :)
ey mea! tagal ko di nadalaw dito a. :) I think your thinking too much lang di mo tuloy n enjoy yung movie. hehe Yung ibang info wala sa movie at ganun tlg un. :)
I’ve seen this on the first day of showing as Mark wants to see it agad…i was like will it be good? or not? as i haven’t seen the first movie…but then i enjoyed it even though Mark’s officemate text and said that Ben’s father will be dead and so at the start of the movie i was like when will he be dead…and everytime there will be difficult scenes i was like “he will be dead this time” some of those scenes are when (1) when he ask his wife about what the carving on the wood means (2) on the cave with his wife when they jump i thought he’ll die (3) on the cave when Ben said he’ll stay and his father said that he’ll not leave him and i was thinking will this be like Armageddon that his father will exchange places and his father will be the one left there…but anyway all in all it was fun…love it…
