I actually forgot their names, boo.
I love gender-bender stories! Power! and Hana Kimi are samples of this, it’s when a girl dresses as a guy for some absurd reason or the other way around. In Ouran High School though, it’s not the case, the heroine, Haruhi just doesn’t care about her looks and because she broke an 8M vase that were owned by the Host Club, then she has no choice but to become a “guy” and act as a host because it’s easier to pay off that debt than be just a busboy or something.
This manga is just hilarious, Ouran High students are composed of sons and daughters of the high society people and Haruhi was only able to go into the school because of a scholarship. The school is also owned by the club’s president — Tamaki Suoh who is so optimistic, gullible and overly dramatic. A complete opposite of Haruhi who is realistic, doubtful and very straightforward to the point that she’s somewhat rude already lol. The only thing they have in common is that they are more concerned about other people and they can sense what other people feels but they can’t realize that they have fallen for each other already, hehe.
Good thing about Ouran is that it already have a anime which I watched (of course) but it was still a cliffhanger, drat! But at least, it’s nice.
Aherm… Haven’t been here in a while. So don’t mind if I comment on an old post.
Heheheh… Bwahahah. Mwahahahah! I have a copy of Death of Superman. I just wanted to say that :D. Although the one we have is the compiled thick version and not the individual ones (which are more expensive in the market). It was so sad…
Anyways, good manga choices. Although I find that Shinshi Something Cross (Gentleman’s Alliance in the Viz version) boring.
