I’m an adult!

Hunter got here last Monday and to celebrate that (or maybe that was just their excuse so they could drink, but hey, whatever, I still can’t think straight, that’s not a first, shut up voice in my head!) the dev team went to Grappa’s in Greenbelt.

They did not order any other drink aside from beer and while waiting for that, Luis asked me if I already know what I can drink. Of course I did not say I know I’ll be safe with Iced Tea so in all my lameness I just sat there, smiled and said, “I still don’t know.” And when asked if I really don’t drink, I stupidly sat there, smiled and said, “I don’t drink … much.”

Then they went on to reminiscing how I got drunk after a few sip of the Long Island at the after-party of the Morph Event last, last Saturday. But you know, it wasn’t just a few sip! It was a lot of sip, probably ten (?), hey that’s a lot and it’s more than 3! And for your information everyone, I was able to drink almost 1/4 of the glass of that Long Island! Almost 1/4! OK, that’s lame, but that’s almost 1/4! And I got an allergy for more than a week. Whatever.

So last night, because apparently, my officemates are closely watching how much I’ve already drank, I was able to finish a glass of beer. A. Glass. Of. Beer. And hey, that’s an accomplishment! I can now say that I’m an adult. I was really slightly happy with that until my boss said that Mochas are kiddie coffee … Whenever I drink one, I couldn’t sleep til 6 in the morning. Way to go boss.

Anyway, I was flushed after that and I woke up very early the next day which is hellish and a had horrible feeling due to this darn allergy… Nice way to start a busy day, I must say.

Last night, Evan told me that Grappa’s beer was the best beer he’s ever drank and it couldn’t even compare to San Mig. I was laughing the entire time and he probably thought that I was laughing because I don’t believe him so I told him that I have never drank a beer in my life so I couldn’t compare.

What a lame ass this Mae Paulino.

Anyway, despite me going home slightly dizzy, disoriented (instead of buying meds I bought a sponge for my pressed powder and hair polish and when an attendant at Bread Talk asked me what kind of bread I want, something salty? Something sweet? I told her, I want something cute and I wasn’t embarrassed by saying that! Wow, huh?) and lightheaded (I think me being a light– oh wait, I’m an airhead), it was a very fun, fun night out with the team. Oh and I met Kin! Hi there!

Oh darn I’m still so dizzy and I still have the after taste of that beer. I swear, I’m never drinking that much again.

OMG, you’re a drinking n00b! Stay that way! This is coming from a recovering alcoholic, haha. And I’m only 22!

I love Grappa’s Vanilla beer. So did you get something cute from Bread Talk? :P

Helga, hahaha I think I really will stay this way… I really don’t like the taste of beer or any alcoholic drinks. And it makes me vomit and itchy all over :( LOL I think I’m always disoriented, I just gave my reply to your question to another person haha to quote:

You’ll know what you can drink until you can’t anymore. But, do NOT try that.

And rephrasing Helga (lol, yer here!1), this is coming from someone who just got introduced to a bunch of new people as someone who likes to get drunk next to getting a design career. It’s a very defining characteristic, it’s probably all you know about me. Now I really wish we got to talk more. :)
