Rain Inside not Outside

Happy hump day everyone! Today is Wednesday, which means it was our third day of Kingdom Chronicles in Antrim. We had around 140 excited kids show up to VBS ready to learn about the armor of God. In the beginning of each day some of the members of our team perform a song for the kids that include dance moves. The song is "Speak Life" by Toby Mac which is about speaking positively and having a positive influence in others lives. The chorus of the song says "So speak life, speak life. To the deadest darkest night. Speak life, speak life. When the sun won't shine and you don't know why. Look into the eyes of the brokenhearted; watch them come alive as soon as you speak hope..." The children have now heard this song more than 5 times and the fact that they are now singing the song on the bus home is pretty amazing.  Most of these children come from homes where the love of God is not shared; therefore, knowing that the children are singing a song written by a Christian artist is a huge accomplishment alone. For the P1 age group, which is mostly 4-6 year olds, the children have been learning about the good and bad kingdoms of the world. The good kingdom is ruled by the king, God, and the bad kingdom is ruled by Satan. Even at the age of 5 the children are remembering how the right decisions and the truth are a part of the good kingdom and how God is the one who helps them with those decisions. How awesome is that?! Most of these kids don't even know who God is and yet they are remembering God will help them make the right decision. Usually everyday we go into an estate, or neighborhood, and pick up trash. We love this part of the day because we can build relationships with Pastor John's Journey team. Unfortunately we had to cancel our evening outreach today because of the lashing(rain) but we are looking forward to a night of worship in one of the homes of a Journey church member.  We've been in Antrim for 5 days now and are loving every aspect of this community. The people of Journey Community Church have been more than welcoming and loving to our team and we look forward to what God has in store for the rest of our time here. Tonite we had the most amazing time of worship and ministry in the Cooke's house! God is so amazing! Look at lastleaf.us FB page for some nice thoughts about tonite... a few of our team members were very touched by what God in them tonite!!
